Sautéed Apple Power Bowl Recipe

Sautéed Apple Power Bowl Recipe

This satisfyingly warm bowl of cinnamon-laced apple chunks tastes like the inside of an apple pie, but as a healthier version boosted with protein and good fats. It will easily become one of your favorite fall-time breakfast meals.

INGREDIENTS

2 tsp Coconut Oil

2 Apples, unpeeled, cored and chopped into 1-inch pieces

1/2 cup Unsweetened Apple Juice

1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Pinch Sea Salt

Optional:

1 Tbsp Nut Butter or Greek Yogurt

Toppings:

1 tsp Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs

1 tsp Navitas Organics Hemp Seeds

DIRECTIONS

Warm coconut oil in skillet over medium heat. Add apple chunks and sauté until lightly golden brown on all sides.

Add apple juice, cinnamon and salt, and increase heat so the juice simmers, stirring the apples occasionally. Cook until the juice is almost evaporated, about 4 to 5 minutes. Apples should be tender, but not falling apart.

Add nut butter or yogurt, if desired.

Top with Cacao Nibs and Hemp Seeds.
